Symptoms One Should Never Ignore

Our body is the temple that we ignore the most. As we are swiftly moving with the pace of the world, our health is given the least importance. We ignore some of the symptoms which actually lag us behind from leading a healthy life. There are many severe as well as minor symptoms that our body undergoes in a day. We need to ignore some symptoms as they are harmless. Similarly, we need to give extra attention towards some of the problems which might have a serious impact on our future. There are some of the very common symptoms that people ignore in daily life. They don’t have or sometimes don’t feel the need to spare time for such symptoms. Some of such symptoms are as follows:

1.Feeling Sleepy During Daytime (Without Any reason):

If you don’t get proper sleep during night time or has insomnia, then you are prone to feel dizzy during day time. The need for sleep is more in such cases. If you have none of these situations, yet feel fatigued; you might have some sleeping disorder and need to consult a doctor.

Possible causes for such symptom:

One of such sleeping disorder is SLEEP APNEA. This disorder occurs when the soft tissues at the back of the throat disrupt normal breathing patterns. When the body is unable to get adequate oxygen, the person wakes up briefly. Perhaps this symptom is not enough to get noticed, but the pattern occurs over and over, for hours, affecting overall sleep. The symptoms are sore throat or headache. Anyone can develop sleep apnea, but being overweight puts you more in danger. You may also have sleep apnea if you snore, especially if the snoring is loud or uneven, or erupts in snorts, or if you awaken with at higher risk.

2.For Women, Excessive Hair Growth:

Both men and women have hair. It is normal but in case of certain situations basically amongst women, when they have abnormal sprouting of hair in unusual places like belly, chest, nipples, face, there is a need to consult a doctor for hormonal imbalances.

Possible causes for such symptom:

The hormonal imbalance can be a result of PCOS in case of women. PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome) it is a common hormonal imbalance and the causes are yet not certain but it disrupts the balance of female hormones (estrogen and progesterone) by maximizing the secretion of male hormone (androgen). This cause the level of male hormones to rise which results in facial hair, chest hair, etc. Other symptoms of PCOS are weight gain, decreased in breast size, acne, balding, irregular or no menstruation cycles. So, you should not just shave the facial hair and ignore all these mishappenings inside your body.

3. Unintentional Weight Loss:

Maintaining weight is an important habit that a person can cultivate. Obesity is a major drawback and one of the most leading health hazards. Nevertheless unintentional weight loss is also another health obstacle. If you are not a person to workout daily or eat healthy, still losing weight heavily is a thing to worry about.

Possible causes for such symptom:

You might have an early sign of cancer or thyroid problems. Unexplained weight loss (roughly ten pounds in a month) is a common warning sign of cancer. It can also indicate a possible thyroid problem. Along with cancer, there are often other accompanying symptoms, such as (depending on the type of cancer) persistent pain, bloating, indigestion, or other sensations of something “not right.” Other symptoms of hyperthyroid disease include fatigue and insomnia.

4. Continual Persistent Coughing:

People sometimes catch cold due to many environmental factors like fog, winter, pollution, dust allergies. The cough accompanied with cold, takes some weeks to get cured. If your cough doesn’t get cured properly within few days, you need to worry about some other respiratory disorders.

Possible causes for such symptom:

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disorder, most commonly known as COPD is a lung disease which starts with cough and gradually leads to lung cancer. The other symptom of COPD is shortness of breath on exertion (climbing stairs, for example). Occasional wheezing and tightness of breath are other symptoms. Smokers are at high risk for COPD and lung cancer. Lung cancer may bring on a bloody cough, frequent bouts of pneumonia, or weight loss.

5. Frequent Urination:

If you are a person who drinks a lot of water in a day and urinates frequently, then you are excreting harmful toxins and excessive water sustainably. Nevertheless, if you are not that much into drinking water and you urinate way more than the amount of water you intake, then it might call for some serious health issue.

Possible causes for such symptoms:

Diabetes can be a reason for the frequent urination.  Excess of glucose in the blood can trigger a need to urinate often as the kidneys struggle to draw water out of the body in order to help them filter the glucose. Frequent urination is a warning sign of both type 1 and type 2 diabetes With diabetes, other symptoms include extreme thirstiness (again, as the body works to get rid of excess glucose), weakness, fatigue, blurry vision, and a tingling sensation in the fingers or toes. Especially in women, a sudden onset of frequent urination can also indicate a urinary tract infection. In men, it’s also an indicator of possible prostate problems.

6. Continuously Losing Balance And Stumbling Upon Things:

If you are constantly falling or slipping into things, then that’s not a matter to ignore. If you are consistently losing your balance, then it can be a clear indication that you have weaker nervous system. A neurological problem. Some of the motor diseases (such as Parkinson’s), autoimmune diseases (such as multiple sclerosis), and diabetic neuropathy (caused by diabetes) are the result of such imbalance.

Possible causes for such symptom:

People with neurological disorders may also notice muscle weakness, numbness or tingling, twitching, or pain. It’s also worth noting whether the person falling has started a new medication recently. Many medications that affect balance include over-the-counter sleep aids and some medications used by people with dementia.

7. Chronic Constipation:

Constipation is another irritating disorder in human anatomy. If we don’t have good bowel movements, we are tend to have a lot of diseases. Constipation gives us lot side effects by. It increases the side effects and  itself, a single episode of constipation — infrequent bowel movements — falls under the category “Major Annoyances,” not “Something to Stress About.” It’s a myth, for example, that everyone should have a bowel movement every day. (Many people do fine with three a weeks, and some people occasionally can manage once a week, depending on diet, doctors say.) But when constipation becomes a frequent problem, it’s worth looking into possible physical causes.

Possible causes for such symptom:

Coronary artery disease (CAD), also called coronary heart disease. The diffuse pattern of discomfort often affects women, who are less likely than men to have classic chest pain, the typical presentation of heart disease. As the arteries harden and narrow due to cholesterol buildup and other factors, the blood can’t freely travel through them, leading to chest pain (angina) and heart attack. Coronary artery disease is the most common cause of death in the U.S. for both men and women. Chronic Colon can give rise to growths or colorectal cancer. Growths in the colon can cause a narrowing or blockage, leading to the constipation. That’s why problems with bowel movements are a red flag for cancerous or precancerous polyps. It happens when a person is obese and you need to notice whether the constipation persists even after making adjustments to diet (consuming more liquids and fiber). Other warning signs of colon cancer: seeing blood in the stool, very long and thin stool, weight loss, stomach pain, or nausea and bloating.

8. Discomfort In Chest, Neck, And Arms When You Exercise:

One of the most common discomforts that spread from the chest to the neck and arms, especially after doing something vigorous like exercises or climbing stairs is always ignored. It could show symptoms of Coronary artery disease (CAD), also called coronary heart disease.

Possible causes for such symptom:

Coronary artery disease is the most common cause of death in the U.S. for both men and women. Heart attack can strike out in someone without any symptoms, but, more typically, there’s a preceding pattern of high cholesterol, high blood pressure, obesity, or physical inactivity. Smokers and heavy drinkers are at higher risk, too.

Thus, these are some of the symptoms that we must never ignore. Human body is susceptible to many activities and functions. We  need to listen to each body part and preserve everything for a healthy life throughout.
